EVENT OPERATIONS MANAGER

8 Northumberland Avenue, our central London Venue is looking for a Event Operations Manager to join our team of venue and event experts. You will be part of an energetic dynamic team planning and operating events for the venue and our catering company AlchemyLive, key brands within the Hamilton Boyd Group.

If you have passion for the hospitality industry and top-notch service, attention to detail and great communication skills, this is the perfect position for you. Experience is required, however we will offer full training to successful applicants.

Job Description

- Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in event operations/hospitality management;
- Have experience managing front of house staff;
- Have experience in Food & Beverage;
- Have excellent command of English;
- Have the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team;
- Have eligibility to work in the UK;
- Have a hands-on, can-do attitude;
- Have Impeccable personal presentation;
- Have an eye for detail.
- Deputising for the Senior Operations Manager when required;
- Working alongside the event manager to ensure the event runs smoothly;
- Ordering staff, equipment, and beverages;
- Ensuring rooms are set according to the brief;
- Being the main operational point of contact during events;
- Coordinating and managing all operational areas associated with pre- planning and the day of the event;
- Briefing and managing up to 50 staff;
- Managing other aspects of the venue, and controlling variable costs on events.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of events and managing catering operations for Alchemylive, the event catering company. They will be part of a dynamic team planning and delivering over 150 events per year, including high-profile events for prestigious clients such as Sky, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Disney.
